Rot Month 05:40
There are things that bring us down There are things I can't make okay Picture us moving to a new town Try to make friends, then try to stay I think it's all about to change Now I can't look you in the face And some days You are really out of range I seem to have found a life Whit a rhythm, from night to night I was troubled - now I am fine Something hidden was found with your light I think it's all about to change Now I can't look you in the face And some days You are really out of range Why did he change his mind About something so unimportant? And did she suppose I was blind? What was she thinking? Yeah, right before that?

I have seen enough The same mirage in all directions I have had enough Of the noise of the cities In the evening I have done enough The same mistakes in every season I have dwelled too long In the city of rooks And I’m leaving I can see the monuments The good old days Past tense Forerunners of common sense Ooh-oh Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay I have known enough Throughout the changes of a life Rumours and mirages I depart into affection Among new sounds Cities of the ancient Lay before my eager senses I’m suddenly a stranger To these new grounds I can see the monuments The good old days Past tense Forerunners of common sense Ooh-oh Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay I have seen enough The same mirage in all directions I have had enough Of the noise of the cities In the evening I have done enough The same mistakes in every season I have dwelled too long In the city of rooks And I’m leaving I can see the monuments The good old days Past tense Forerunners of common sense Ooh-oh Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay Stay and stay and stay and sta-ay

Square 07:42
Hey old man, do you hear me? I'm talking to you I'd like to hear your opinion On this family No better and no worse than others If I only could hear you talk, You'd say what comes next knows no one Try to think about what was good in the past

Cottage 07:38
I’d like to stay a lifetime In the cottage by the sea Where there’s woods and beasts and mountains And a monstrous family-tree I’d wake up in the morning Children playing on the moors We could stay until the sun sets Stay, and lead our life outdoors When you wake up The sun will shine And you’ll be fine And you’ll have Lots of time Sort out your weary mind And when the moon is shining We’d be sitting by the stove When night makes its appearance We retreat to the alcove The wind stirs in the pine trees Fairies dancing in the dark And heaps of forest spirits Just can’t seem to stop their lark… I was in a grove of tall Walnut trees that shades One side of the valley I had wandered into it at noontime, When nature’s peculiarly quiet And was startled by the roar Of my own gun As it broke the stillness And was prolonged and reverberated By angry echoes Should I ever wish for A retreat where I Might steal from the world and its distractions I know of none more promising Than this little valley When you wake up The sun will shine And you’ll be fine And you’ll have Lots of time Sort out your weary mind

When this civilization ends A child will fall and have nosebleed Bands like the Rolling Stones will shatter Relationships will be put on hold When this civilization ends We'll get to see the inside of our guts Prog rock will prevail It will hopefully be on a sunny day Another people Will get to write the rules We will be the ones In need of aid

Painted Hand 06:09
I’ve got a hand A painted hand I’ve got some fingers That are painted as well If I should go Into the sea I’d make sure to take my Painted hand with me And should I meet A bearded man My hand would strike him Like a stray dog It’s nice to have a hand To lend a friend But it’s sad When no one needs it He got out He was filled up with an Unknown smile And a feeling that he Had a clue To the answer to One of the questions life may bring He wandered Dizzily Through his hometown as it Fell asleep Must have been smiling with his Mouth as well “There seems to be Hope for mankind after all” You’ve got a mouth A painted mouth You use your smile To make them lower their deffence And all your friends They live through you And will always know What you are up to You give away Each secret thought You live and act As if you’re famous And‘ll never know a thing About yourself And it’s sad When you’re a stranger Was what he thought Through a miracle he Now perceived That there was kindness left In the world Benevolence, a joy in Carrying out your everyday deeds “Am I this good? Do I take pride in tending My loved ones? Am I the only one who Thinks this way? Will I be able to Open their eyes and help them out?”

about

This is my 2010 EP, a collection of songs written between spring 2009 and fall 2010. They're about moving, they're about family and friend relationships. They are kind of sad.
